Bupa extends clinical coverage to
video consultation services in Hong Kong
A convenient and safe channel for patients to seek doctor consultations
by simply calling the designated hotline
Bupa Hong Kong, the leading health insurance specialist, has announced the extension of clinical coverage to provide video consultation services to all eligible Bupa members. These members can now remotely consult with selected general practitioners through video call about common conditions from the comfort and safety of their homes, followed by door-to-door medication delivery1.
In adjusting to a “new normal”, many Hong Kong people have had to make changes in their lives, including the healthcare services they need, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. To provide better support during these challenging times, Bupa has partnered with selected network provider Quality HealthCare Medical Services, one of the leading private out-patient healthcare service providers in Hong Kong, to offer video consultation services conducted in Hong Kong to all eligible members with network Clinical Benefit and an eligible medical card. The video consultation services can be conducted in either English or Cantonese. A HK$50 medication delivery charge will also be waived during the special protection period from now until 31 December 2020.
Bupa members who opt for video consultation services will benefit from:
- Making an appointment by simply calling our designated video consultation hotline2
- Video medical consultation and medication prescription3 in Hong Kong by Quality HealthCare
- Door-to-door delivery1 including medication, sick leave certificate and referral letter4
- Free follow-up consultation at an appointed Quality HealthCare clinic within 24 hours after the video consultation, should further examination be needed
- Seamless and cashless payment experience5

By introducing this convenient, safe channel of medical services, we hope to better support our customers, especially during the uncertainty and challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
